Healthy balls

Here I'm sharing a healthy snacks for kids. Everyday I was struggling to give food for my son. He doesn't like to eat rice or tiffin we usually make in home. Usually kids like to eat sweets.
So I decided to give some sweets which is more nutritious and healthy. This recipe is a fusion of two recipes which I have read from some book. Try and give comments.

Ingredients:
Cashews – 10nos
Badham - 10nos
Pista - 10nos
Seedless Dates - 5nos
Peanuts - few
Grated coconut - 2tbspn
Honey - for taste
Ghee - as required

How to make:
  1. Pour ghee in a kadai and fry cashew, badham and pista.
  2. Dry roast peanuts and grated coconut separately.
  3. Soak seedless dates in hot water for few minutes.
  4. Now grind and make a fine powder of all nuts. Add dates into it and grind it slightly to mix well.
  5. Take the powder into a bowl.
  6. Add honey, roasted coconut and heated ghee.
  7. Mix altogether and make small balls and serve.

Suggestions:
  • Instead of honey you can add jaggery syrup also.
  • You can add little cardamom powder for flavouring.
  • Instead of frying in ghee, you can dry roast the nuts and add ghee only for making balls.
  • Remove the skin from peanuts after roasting.
  • It’s not mandatory to add all ingredients. You can make rolls without coconut and the nuts whatever you have at home (for sample, you can make only with peanuts, cashew, dates and honey).
